I just wanted to let you know that we are now accepting orders for Vintage Performance Development's B18/B20 supercharger system. The superchargers for the first production run have been ordered and are scheduled to arrive here by airfreight from Sweden the last week of January. Given the week or so needed to assemble the parts into complete, ready to install kits, we are now scheduling installations and/or delivery of the first run of kits for the first 2 weeks of February.

Those of you scheduled to receive one of the first kits have already received an email from me confirming your order and asking for a deposit. If you have not yet confirmed a kit in this first run, but want one in February or March, please let me know by early January, as I have to order the superchargers at least a month in advance. After the first batch, orders will be filled on a "first come, first served basis", based on the date when deposits are received. Orders will be confirmed when a deposit for half of the total price of $3200 is received. The balance will be due at the time of delivery or installation. There is also no guarantee of the length of time that we will be able to keep the price at $3200. For a limited period of time, for those of you who can get your car to our shop just north of Syracuse, NY, we will provide free installation. In some instances, I my also be able to install it at your location, especially if you live somewhere significantly south of here.

As previously described, the kit will be complete and ready to install. It includes an Autorotor supercharger, Laminova water to air intercooler, intercooler radiator, hoses, drive pulleys, drive belt, 45 DCOE carburetor, air cleaner, throttle linkage, etc. Installation requires no special tools and can easily be done in a day. Complete instructions will also be included. Some of the parts have been modified from those shown on our website. Satisfaction is guaranteed.

For those of you with injected cars, there are several key points. 1) We have determined that the D Jet system cannot be reasonably modified for use with a pressurized intake system. 2) The kit can be used on an injected car with only minor modifications. The fuel pump and fuel lines do not have to be replaced. 3) The basic supercharger kit is designed so that it can easily be upgraded for use with an aftermarket programmable fuel injection system merely by exchanging the carb for a throttle body and hooking up the stock injectors to the new FI system. 4) We will begin testing of the SDS FI system on my ES in a few weeks. 5) Until testing under a number of different conditions and levels of boost is completed we will not know whether there are advantages of the FI version sufficient to justify the additional cost, estimated to be in the $800 - $1000 range.

For those with working air conditioning - we have not yet completed work on a drive system that will include both the supercharger and the AC condenser, but we should have this work completed by spring.

I welcome any questions that you may have on any of the above, however, I will be out of town and our office will be closed from December 22 through the 27th. But since I love to talk about this stuff even when I am on vacation, you can reach me by email at jwp416@aol.com during that time. Please copy in my usual address of jparker3@twcny.rr.com so I can be sure not to miss your message.

Happy Holidays
